6. Report

A radiologist is an medical doctor who has completed special additional training in performing and interpreting various diagnostic imaging procedures. He or she is a specialist in imaging, just as other  doctors may specialize in cardiology or pediatrics. The images produced by the CT, MR, x-ray or other imaging test are looked at very carefully by a radiologist.  He will spend as much time inspecting every aspect of the test as is necessary to identify anything out of the ordinary.  This process, usually referred to as "reading" the "films" results in the dictation of a detailed report about the findings.  This report is what your physician is expecting.  It completes the cycle of the diagnostic imaging procedure. At times, the radiologist will speak with your doctor about the findings in the report, all to help you get back to your healthy self as quickly as possible.

All reports and billing are generated in house by MDC staff. We believe that the more of the process we handle, the better we can control the quality.

Learn more about Board Certification here. Medical Diagnostic Center of Jacksonville, (MDC),  is operated under the medical direction of a radiologist who has qualified for certification by the American Board of Physician Specialties. More here.
MDC is here to minimize patient concerns about their health. We work with you and your doctor to help find solutions.   This patient is getting an ultrasound study of her thyroid.
