3. Insurance and Authorization

MDC supports national evidence-based guidelines for the appropriate use of diagnostic imaging procedures, including those described in the reference text Medical Imaging Consultant, 3rd Edition by Orrison et.al. Insurance companies work together with doctors and diagnostic imaging facilities to help ensure that the right test is done at the right time.  They know that the best way to keep costs down is to use only the best type of test for a specific condition.  Some insurance plans require that certain diagnostic imaging tests be Authorized by their representative before they will agree to pay for a procedure.

Consult a table of insurance and authorization here.

With very few exceptions, MDC accepts virtually all insurance plans. MDC will help you work with your doctor's office and insurance company to make sure that your insurance coverage is considered before the test is performed.
Conventional x-ray procedures--and all other tests--are performed with attention to quality, privacy, and accuracy.
