History
Medical Diagnostic Center of Jacksonville was
founded in 1987 at it's present location across the street from Memorial
Medical Center. Located in the heart of a medical complex, the objective was
to offer the highest quality healthcare services to the Southside
community. The project has been successfully structured in response to
a need for multimodality outpatient diagnostic imaging.
Medical Diagnostic Center of Jacksonville was
originally associated with 54 physicians that specialize in various area of
medicine and surgery, providing imaging services for their patients. Over
200 physicians now utilize Medical Diagnostic Center's services.
Medical Diagnostic Center of Jacksonville is a
fully accredited facility that offers state of the art multimodality
diagnostic imaging equipment such as nuclear medicine, sonography,
mammography, general x-ray, CT, MRI, and bone densitometry (sometimes
referred to as DEXA or bone density).
Medical Diagnostic Center decided to add a superconducting open
MRI when it was the first of its kind in the Jacksonville area. Although
there are several MRI's in the Southside area, Medical Diagnostic Center is the
only freestanding facility that provides the four-sided, superconducting open MRI for the
convenience of its patients.

itself in providing services by well trained staff, giving special attention to the patient's
